The brief

Most of Hotel Marlow’s guests booked through third-party sites that charge a commission. The hotel’s own site was slow and only in English, though a third of its guests were from Spain and Germany.

What we built

A site in three languages, each translated by people, with room pages that pass dates straight to the booking engine the hotel already uses. Search engines see each language at its own address.

After launch

Direct bookings rose from 22% to 38% of all bookings in the first year.
